PROGRAMMING MODES

All programming is done using the single push button. All user settings are retained on power down.

NORMAL OPERATION
When the push button is pressed, the solenoid valve opens and water starts to be diverted until the water temperature reaches your preferred value when the valve then closes. During this time the buzzer can either sound once every 2 seconds or, for quiet operation, be programmed to sound only at the start and end of the sequence.

YOUR 'PREFERRED' TEMPERATURE
This can be programmed between 20°C and 40°C in 2°C intervals.

'NO HOT WATER AVAILABLE' SHUT OFF CALIBRATION TIME
As part of the installation procedure, the unit will automatically determine how long it should wait for the hot water to arrive before closing the valve to prevent unnecessary wastage if no hot water is available.

INSTALLATION

The control box containing the user operated push button, electronics and permanently connected cable is located visibly near the hot water tap by sticking to a wall or leaving on a work surface. The control cable is fed down to the temperature sensor junction box and connected to the temperature sensor and valve feed terminals inside.

The isolating tap, temperature sensor junction box and water solenoid valve are slim enough to be located under a sink or behind any nearby washing machine or dishwasher. The temperature sensor junction box is clamped onto the existing 15mm copper hot water feed pipe. As the junction box is offered up to the pipe, the sensor's tip locates against the surface of the copper feed pipe. The solenoid valve is mounted on a nearby pipe via the integral pipe mounting clips

NOTE: The self cutting / self sealing isolating tap can be connected WITHOUT the need to turn the house water supply off first (but we recommend that the house supply is first turned off).

The isolating tap is placed between the temperature sensor junction box and the hot tap and close enough to the solenoid valve to be connected with the half metre hose. The hinged base section of the isolating tap is clamped around the hot feed pipe. The tap is then shut and the body section rotated in the base where the integral cutter pierces the feed pipe, creating a water seal at the same time. The tap is then left in the required orientation and the lock nut tightened. The connection hose is attached between the tap connector and the input connection on the solenoid valve. Once the cable has been run, the output hose or pipe has been run and all connections have been made, the system can be tested.

This completes the installation to the point where clean water can be collected at the output of the hose. Normally a standard garden pipe or 15mm copper or plastic pipe would be run out through the house wall to an external storage butt or barrel or barrel. The double check valves in the isolating tap ensure conformity with standard water regulations regarding the prevention of soiled water being siphoned back into a clean water system.
