SYSTEM PIPE CONNECTION INFORMATION

This picture shows how the various component parts are connected together. The hot water normally flows up the copper pipe, at the bottom of the picture, towards and out of the tap at the top. When the operator presses the button on the Hydrosave contol unit, the water valve is opened allowing the water to flow up the copper pipe, past the black temperature sensor/junction box to the isolating tap (black top and connected into the copper pipe). The water then passes down through the grey flexible pipe, through the water valve (clamped onto the copper pipe) and out to the storage barrel/butt or to the point of use through the (yellow) garden hose or a pipe push-in fitting (black unit shown to the side). When the temperature sensor detects hot water, the water valve is shut and the water saving operation is complete.
