A small PP3 battery powered hand held pt100 industrial temperature probe reader / tester directly showing temperature 0-160°C to 1 decimal place, on a 3½ digit LCD display, for use in fault finding industrial temperature control systems. This is not a high specification calibration device. It can be used for checking the operation of temperature probes driving temperature controllers. Supporting an internal self test calibration check setting of 100°C at an accuracy of ± 0.5°C, it will also indicate low battery condition. A small robust hand held current generator / regulator (source and sink) for use in testing industrial control systems using 4-20mA signalling. Supporting top, middle and bottom of range fixed calibrated outputs at 4mA, 12mA and 20mA with 1% accuracy and an uncalibrated variable control over the complete 4-20mA range. With 2 pairs of connection terminals, the unit can be powered by the auxiliary 18V to 30V dc supply (not supplied) via a 3.5mm 2 pole jack plug, the internal 22.5 volt alkaline battery or externally directly over the current loop by the control system under test. Replacement batteries as shown below can be obtained from the small battery company (checked Jul 2008) or from Cellpack Solutions and are soldered to the products battery leads inside the easily accessible battery compartment at the rear.

A robust dual output unit designed for use in testing/fault finding industrial control systems using 4-20mA dual ganged signalling with 1% accuracy. The supply is via a 24Vdc internal mains power supply. There is an internal PP3 battery that powers the LCD displays only. There are fixed dual ganged calibrated outputs of 4mA, 12mA, 20mA, and an uncalibrated dual gange variable control over the 4-20mA range.
