How to save water - the Hydrosave range
Saving water has just become that much easier!
Hydrosave, the innovative water saver has been designed to save cold water that is usually wasted when the user is waiting for the hot water to 'come through' by using the cold water for another purpose such as watering the garden or siphoning it off into storage tanks for later use (such as filling up the toilet water tank).
How does the Hydrosave work?
Diverting Valve Open
During operation, the hot tap remains shut and the cold water is saved by diverting it from the hot pipe, as seen in diagram 1.
This saved water can either be used immediately, for example watering the garden, or stored in a water butt, from which it can be used in a variety of ways.
These ways include filling up:
- the toilet cistern
- buckets for cleaning your car
- watering cans for those hot summer days
Diverting Valve Closed
Once the water has reached the set temperature, the Hydrosave stops diverting the water away and allows it to flow as normal, ready for you to open the hot tap.
You will know when the set temperature has been reached because the buzzer stops sounding.
